Judging started for Rtalon's contest, and I'll know the results in 2 days. I think I have a pretty good chance to at least place. There was a few entries that took the yuri angle that Rtalon hinted he wanted to see several times, but I think mine is the only one that falls under anything that could be considered hentai, the rest is ecchi. Hitmann, desingahv, Kohaku-bakura, and Madydiu all entered pieces that could take top spot. Including myself on this list of course, but not going to run around saying I will win. Everyone knows I think I can win or I wouldn't enter, so constantly saying things like "Other people don't even need to bother entering because I am going to win" is just arrogant and rude. Though that comment came from the same person that constantly complained about having to draw women, and pretty much admitted that they didn't give any thought to their entries (in a contest where thought was mentioned as counting).

Entering the hentai picture is a bit of a risk. Everyone likes to see certain things in their pictures, so had to bank on getting not 1 but 3 judges to all agree on it. Hopefully the risk taken will help gain some points in their eyes (if they do like it that is). I'd love to win the contest, not just because I could really use 60 dollars (with a dying monitor I'll need to replace soon, all the money I can get is loved), but also because I really want to know just how good I am. I haven't won an art contest on DA yet. I think I did well in Nekochank's, just didn't get enough of the judge's attention. Mortadella's contest was a vote, and Nekochank's pure number of fans made it quite a runaway (though her entry was good, and most likely would have won anyways). Sooj's contest was... yeah, but I've ranted about that before, and I've moved on.

In other news. Have a series of pictures to do. Planning a few more color projects from linearts uploaded here already. Have 3 more fanart pictures planned, both using my doppelgänger ability to mimic other's style. Also plan on working on my own style more, since Rtalon's contest is the first drawing I did in my own way for a long while. Going to change a few things that hopefully will make the drawings faster and easier to do, but come out with better quality also. Thinking of coming up with a different way of doing eyes specifically. Going to redesign my OCs, starting with a August most likely. Though, she already saw part of a redesign for this contest. So yeah, I may actually get some things done this summer

Update: Picture didn't place. Oh well. Going to take a step back and see just what I'm doing wrong before I enter anything else.

Just saw 5 people I'm watching all make journals about FFXII today already, so I figured I would make one too. Am I the only one that isn't buying onto the hype and realizing that this is the same recycled plotlines from basically every other Final Fantasy game? Seriously, except for the semi-decent FFIX (which has several elements recycled into the latest), there hasn't been a single good Final Fantasy game since XI. Now, I'm only talking the number series, since both Tactics games have been some of the best RPGs ever made.

Refining my character designs and storyline for my manga. Need to come up with some transitions between the major plot points. Have a few worked out, but need to get past the writer's block I have. Going to change some names around and work on the bestiary. Also have to try to cut down the backstory, was getting a little too drug out. The characters are coming together really well, and I've been removing some of the plot parts I had just to get more interaction between the lead roles. Need to work on the villians more though, still lacking in that area. Any ideas for a great baddy would be much appreciated XD

Well, finally got back online today and got to check out how I did in the Sooj art contest... didn't rank, didn't even get an honorable mention Not a happy way to start off after missing an entire week online. Though, maybe this is the inspiration I need to stop making cel shaded artwork. Nobody seems to appreciate the effort that goes into them. Oh well, I tried.
